HTC denied the Sensation's death grip

So HTC pulled an Apple and straight out denied that the Sensation had a death grip.
Here is the exact quote which was sent to Slashgear.
"Every phone experiences a slight variation in signal strength when the antenna is covered in its entirety by a palm and/or fingers. However, under normal circumstances this does not affect the performance of the phone."

Now obviously every phone will experience a slight drop in signal strength when the antenna is covered, although  the drop in signal strength was quite drastic when holding the phone in landscape especially considering  this is classified as normal usage as far as I am concerned. I personally much prefer having my N8 in landscape. I really only hold my phone in portrait when I am taking a call, I find landscape much more natural.
The phones are built t be held in landscape, makes web browsing and other such tasks more pleasant. Another thing to consider is that everyone has different sized hands, so it will be held different by each person who holds it and some people may cover more of the phone than others. These are things which should be taken into consideration when designing a phone.

HTC responded to a question about the video which was posted on GSM Arena and then uploaded to Facebook by an HTC customer by saying that the issue seemed exaggerated in the video and the video is misleading.

I do not think HTC are doing the right thing by denying the death grip problem the Sensation has.
I still really hope HTC have learnt something from this and will make sure it does not happen again. I would have hoped HTC had manned up and admitted to the design flaw.
